It is my intention to work at building a sponsorship package
for 2006, which is generous enough to allow me to mount a serious challenge
for the Scottish Ladies Rally Championship. Although I know this will
be no easy task, I hope that by self-promotion and the continued development
I am undertaking, I will be able to raise enough funding, so that with
the support of my dedicated team, I will be able to succeed and live
my dream.
I have not yet decided which events I shall be participating in this
year but Graham Holmes
has very kindly offered to sponsor me for the Jim
Clark Memorial Rally, so I am currently exploring car options. Last
year's JCMR saw me navigating for Gerry Kilmurray, the 2000 Tarmac Champion.
We scored a very creditable 19th overall 1st in Class. I will also be
sitting in the co-driver's seat for selected rounds of the Scottish
Hill Rally Championship. This is an extreme off road sport with some
equally extreme machinery.
My thanks go out to the people without whom there would be neither car
in which to compete nor funds to finance my ambition. Firstly big thanks
to my family who have stood by me through thick and thin and shed blood,
sweat and tears over my exploits and expenditure! Thanks also to Malcolm
of the Nisbet Smithy who services my car on events and does a fine job
maintaining my car before, during and after competitions.
A big thank you also goes out to Seafield
Coachworks who are responsible for helping me out with bodywork
problems and sourcing parts. They are also responsible for the rather
eye catching paint job on J22 WRC.
My gratitude also to my main sponsor in 2004, Graham
Holmes of GHI, not only for his continued support but also for giving
me the chance to sit beside him at events.
Chris Moore feels
I have potential and is keen to help me in any way he can. I cannot
thank him enough for all his help and encouragement during the last
two years.
